Hotel Playa Fiesta

We attended a wedding at Playa Fiesta in 2023 and had an absolute blast. When it came time to plan our own wedding, all of the venues we looked at couldn't come close to our experience at Playa. From the minute we decided on Playa Fiesta as our wedding venue, Lindsay and Gabi made the planning process an absolute breeze. They have gotten throwing incredible parties down to a science. All of the vendors that they recommended were phenomenal and it was so nice not having to worry about timelines and coordinating a million things at once - that was all taken care of. The week of our wedding was absolutely perfect. You can't beat having everyone you love together for an amazing beach vacation. The rooms are stunning, HUGE, and so unique. Every single staff member at Playa Fiesta is a fantastic human being, and it was awesome to see many familiar faces still working there from the first time we had visited. The food, both for the wedding events and from the on-site restaurant, was delicious and they were able to accommodate many different dietary restrictions without issue. The actual wedding day was completely stress-free. Any issues that came up were handled by Lindsay or Gabi before it even came to our attention. The attention to detail was unmatched. Our guests are still raving that it was the best wedding that they had ever attended! Hotel Playa Fiesta has such a special place in my heart and I would not have changed a thing about my wedding experience. I hope that we inspired another future Playa Fiesta wedding so we can return someday!!

We just spent the week for our best friends wedding. I cannot praise the staff enough for how extremely coordinated and professional they are! Leading up to the trip, I had spoke with Lindsay about my husbands dietary needs. We were able to coordinate meals for the week, and not two minutes upon check in, she was at our door with the floor manager to go over everything for the week! Every single staff member was an essential part of making my week so wonderful. I cannot praise this resort more. If you are on the fence, just do it! You won’t be disappointed!

Where do I begin? Weddings are stressful and a handful of planning financial decisions and unanticipated problems. When we arrived to the hotel, the stress was gone! We were taken care of so well that I would have paid double for that level of care! Location: If you are worried about safety, due to recent events, DON’T be! Located close to the city that would be a 5 minute ride if you want to go and believe me you do and have nothing to worry about! The hotel is in a very safe place, with amazing views everyday and almost private beach! Food: You won’t get it better anywhere else! All my guests were mind blown and said that basically if ever we wanted to do our anniversary there at some point, we didn’t need to convince them too much! So if you’re still wondering, should you go? Is it safe? Will it be the most amazing experience of your life? YES to all of the above! Stop hesitating and take into consideration we came there with our 3 year old, that was well fed, happy and just enjoying the views everyday single day! I don’t think you could ask for a better wedding venue! God bless this place and I pray to come back there one day!

Groom here. We held our destination wedding at Hotel Playa Fiesta in early January 2026, and it exceeded every expectation we had. All 75 of our guests had an incredible time. The property is beautiful, intimate, and impeccably maintained, and having the entire hotel dedicated to our group made the whole week feel like a private celebration rather than a typical resort stay. We planned everything from the U.S., and the owners and wedding planning team made the process feel organized and manageable. Communication was clear and consistent, and they were remarkably flexible with custom ideas, special requests, and cultural traditions. We were aiming for a truly bi-cultural wedding that felt both Mexican and welcoming to American and international guests, and they struck that balance perfectly. Everyone, whether they spoke English or Spanish, felt included and comfortable. The atmosphere throughout the week was relaxed and joyful. Guests who had never met before quickly became friends, hanging out by the pool, on the beach, and around the bar. The staff somehow learned everyone’s names almost immediately and were always warm, attentive, and bilingual, which made a huge difference for our diverse group. The food was outstanding from start to finish. Menus were flexible and easily adapted for dietary restrictions, and the kitchen even created custom dishes inspired by my wife’s hometown in central Mexico. Many guests told us it was some of the best food they’d had on any vacation. The open bar was equally impressive, with a talented and friendly bartending team making great cocktails and mocktails all week. The setting itself is gorgeous. There’s direct beach access and a calm, protected swimming area created by natural rock formations, almost like a private ocean pool. Many of our guests also took short, inexpensive Uber rides into downtown Puerto Vallarta for sightseeing along the Malecón or snorkeling at Los Arcos, so you get both peaceful seclusion and easy access to the city. Our wedding day was seamless and emotional, with a stunning sunset ceremony right on the beach. As an unforgettable bonus, whales appeared in the bay during our vows. Months later, guests are still telling us it was the best wedding they’ve ever attended. If you’re looking for a private, beachfront venue with exceptional food, thoughtful planning support, and a warm, inclusive vibe that brings people together, this place is truly special.

My family visited Playa Fiesta this summer, and once again we had the most incredible experience! Our first trip to Playa Fiesta was 13 years ago for our wedding, and with each visit it gets better and better. I asked my family for some help with this review; my 8-year-old said you can eat a lot of tacos, my 4-year-old said she loves Charly and Nino because they give her smoothies and ice cream, and my husband said he loves the incredible staff and service. I personally love just above everything at Playa Fiesta, but some highlights are the stunningly remodeled big pool, the swimmable beach, and of course, the margaritas! Big hugs to all the people that are the heart of Playa Fiesta- we love you! I’m so thankful we have you in our lives and that we decided to get married at PF all those years ago.

Ever since I attended my best friend’s wedding at Playa Fiesta in 2022, I couldn’t stop thinking about this place. When my fiancé and I began searching for our own wedding venue, we tried to find something that could compete with Playa Fiesta — but to no avail. We simply couldn’t find anything like it. Our friends took it as the biggest compliment that we wanted to use the same venue and couldn’t wait to go back themselves! It was incredibly important to us to spend extended, meaningful time with our friends — relaxing, hanging out, and celebrating together — and as a bonus, doing so in the most beautiful place, oceanside. Everything about Playa feels like home. The staff are so warm and welcoming that leaving truly brings you to tears each time. Lindsay and Gabi are exceptional. They think of absolutely everything and are so thoughtful in both big and small ways. Beyond that, the planning process itself was incredibly easy and made planning a wedding essentially stress-free. We were given a selection of vendor options for each category and simply got to make our selections. It streamlined every decision and allowed us to focus on the joy and excitement of getting married rather than stressing over small details. We were especially lucky to have my grandparents, ages 90 and 96, attend our wedding. Gabi and Lindsay were so attentive to their comfort and safety throughout the weekend. One moment that meant the world to us was during our reception — in the midst of everything happening, they made sure my grandparents had finished eating and were present before we began our first dance. That level of care is something we will never forget. Since the wedding, our guests have not stopped raving about the experience. So many have told us it was the best wedding they’ve ever attended — not just because of the stunning setting, but because of how intimate, relaxed, and joyful the entire weekend felt. Being able to stay together on site made it feel like a true celebration rather than just a single event. The hotel itself is stunning, and the recent renovations have added so much — including the ability to accommodate almost all of our guests on site, which made the experience even more intimate and special. There is an onsite restaurant which has excellent food and is so accommodating to any dietary restrictions. Playa Fiesta isn’t just a venue — it is so much more. The entire experience felt personal, and full of joy and love. It is something we will cherish forever. We hope one day to return to Playa for another celebration — whether for someone we love or perhaps for our own special occasion again!

Let me start off by saying it makes absolutely NO sense why this place is categorized as “3 stars” because it was 5+++ stars experience. From the food, to the room, to the location etc…Playa Fiesta Weddings is honestly one of the most incredible places I have ever stayed. Our entire group stayed here together and the experience was beyond anything I expected. The property is extremely private, which made it feel like our own little paradise in Puerto Vallarta. The rooms were beautifully renovated, spotless, and very comfortable. What really made the experience unforgettable was the service. Every single staff member stood out as some of the best I’ve ever experienced anywhere in the world. They paid attention to everything. They remembered our drink orders, the things we liked, and anticipated what we needed before we even asked. It felt effortless and incredibly personal. Lindsay was also an absolute GEM of a host. The food was phenomenal every single day, and enjoying meals together overlooking the ocean was such a special experience. The hot tub, the atmosphere, the privacy of the property, and the warmth of the staff made it feel like a dream. If you’re looking for an intimate, luxurious, and incredibly well-run place for a group trip or wedding, I cannot recommend Playa Fiesta enough. It truly felt like a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Was there for my friend’s wedding for 4 days. 5/5 experience all around. Great vibe, great service, great facilities, great food. My girlfriend and I ordered the pesto chicken for lunch. This dish was phenomenal! The chicken arrived perfectly cooked, somehow both juicy and tender, with those lightly seared edges that suggest someone in the kitchen actually cares deeply about timing and heat. Each bite was incredible like the chicken wants you to enjoy it. This pesto chicken is vibrant deep green, glossy, unapologetically aromatic. I didn’t realize a salad could taste this good. My life is hereby forever changed on account of this collection of lettuce and chicken. Tell all your friends to have their wedding here so you too can enjoy the effects of this intoxicating plate. PESTO CHICKEN FOREVER!!!
